I woke up irritated this morning, because my alarm interrupted a dream about me flirting with a cute, brilliant boy. (A real one, too -- I had a crush on him in D.C.). In the dream, I started talking to him online one morning, and he asked me how I was doing, and I said “oh, I’m in Spain!” To which he, a fluent Spanish speaker who served his mission in a Latin American country, responded “Bueno! Que haces alli?” And then I responded….and we held an entire flirty conversation on instant messenger in Spanish!
In retrospect, that segment of my dream says really odd things about my personality. I have dreams about boys all the time, and this guy is starting to be somewhat recurrent – but when instant messenger is the major form of communication in my dreams, that probably means it has an undue influence on my communication habits in real life. On the plus side, does this count as dreaming “in” Spanish?
Another note on dreams, is it odd that frequently, (including during my siesta today) dialogue in my dreams strikes me as so funny, I wake myself up because I’m laughing at it (in reality)?

You still use AIM alot? I never talk online--how interesting. That is pretty sad when you flirt in your dreams that way haha. Just kidding, it's probably really normal. So I think you should visit me at BYU and Richard can introduce you to plenty of mormon spanish speakers to flirt with....:-P
